Mothers together: An Online Support group for mothers with children 5 and under

Working with mothers and being a mother myself, I know how important it is for mothers to have a place where they can learn practical information and connect with other mothers. Mothering can be a joyful experience but it can also sometimes feel lonely and isolating. This group hopes to provide a place where mothers can share their joys and challenges in a supportive environment.

Who is this group for?

This group has been created as a supportive space for mothers to meet and discuss meaningful topics related to motherhood. This online group is currently looking for mothers who have at least one child aged 5 and under.

What topics will be discussed in this group?

Each week we will discuss a previously selected topic related to motherhood. After registration, mothers will be asked to fill out a short survey identifying topics of interest. Sessions will run for 90 minutes. During the first half an hour I will present information on the topic based on the current best practices and then we will discuss the topic as a group for the remainder of the session.

How is this support group different than a peer support group?

As the group facilitator, I utilize my specialized training in groups to help create and maintain a supportive environment for group members. I will use my skills to help support a collaborative and meaningful experience with an emphasis on cultivating safety and encouraging reflection and growth.

Group length and costs?

This group will run 10-15 sessions based on member preference. The cost per session is $40 a person.

Group date and time?

This group runs throughout the year based on interest. Once I have interest from a minimum of 6 members, I will send out a poll to ascertain preferred date and times. Group sessions run for 90 minutes. This group may be offered weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly based on member preference.
